Year-End Tax Planning

Wow, 2011 will be over before we know it.  We have been advising many of our individual clients about
year-end tax planning—here are a few ideas:

Offset capital gains with capital losses—call your financial advisor
if you don’t know where you stand on gains and losses for this year.

Clean out your closets, make a detailed list of your donation, and give it
to a charity by December 31.

If you are short of cash, but desire to make year-end charitable donations,
but them on your credit card and deduct them in 2011.
